Subject: Golf Cart Safety, Operating Requirements, and Private Property Restrictions

Dear Evergreen Homeowners and Residents,

The Board of Directors is issuing this reminder to all residents regarding golf cart safety, operating requirements, and compliance with community rules. Golf carts must be operated carefully, at safe speeds, and with due regard for pedestrians, other vehicles, and surrounding homes and property.

Please be advised that golf carts may be used only in permitted areas and only in accordance with HOA rules and applicable law. Within Evergreen, the minimum age to operate a golf cart on private roads is 16. For golf carts operated on public roads or streets in Florida, drivers under 18 must carry a valid learner’s permit or driver’s license, and drivers 18 or older must carry valid government-issued photo identification. Residents are responsible for ensuring that family members, guests, and other operators from their household understand and comply with these requirements.

Residents, guests, and service providers must also remain off private property unless they have express permission from the property owner. This especially includes Crane Watch Golf Course, which is private property and is not part of the Evergreen HOA common area. Crane Watch golf course may not be used for unauthorized driving, crossing, parking, recreation, walking, or access.

These requirements are intended to promote safety, reduce liability, and respect the rights of neighboring property owners. Violations of HOA rules or applicable laws may result in enforcement action as permitted under the Association’s governing documents and applicable regulations. Enforcement action may also occur if violations are reported to and observed by law enforcement authorities.

We appreciate the cooperation of all residents in helping to maintain a safe, respectful, and enjoyable community for everyone.

Sincerely,

Tony Kretz

Evergreen Board President

On Behalf of the Board of Directors
