At the Board of Directors meeting held on October 19, 2020, Debi Hoefer was appointed to fill the seat recently vacated by Rhonda Schaefer. Rhonda has sold her home in the Evergreen Club, and thus cannot continue to serve on the Board. The new appointment expires in March 2021, in conjunction with Rhonda’s original term, and the Board thanks Rhonda for her service to the Board and her community. Below is Debi’s short bio to help you become familiar with the new Board member and her background:
Debi Hoefer, Director
- Debi spent forty years in the high-tech industry, working in the database design and administration, marketing, and customer education fields. The last 15 years of her career were spent as Director, Americas Customer Education for a major database and analytics company, leveraging her technical, business, and accounting skills.
- After retiring in late 2016, Debi served on the Board of Directors of the Literacy Volunteers of South Sarasota County. She chaired the Compliance Committee of her previous HOA and performed various other volunteer activities for the neighborhood.
- Debi relocated to Palm City and the Evergreen Club in late 2018 and volunteered to be a part of the Landscape Committee. She has also maintained the community’s website for the past year and a half.
- Personal interests include gardening, cooking, reading/writing, computer gaming, and caring for her pups, Koko and Brady.
