RFID Registration - Evergreen Property Owners Association

On Friday, January 9th, the Board of Directors made the tough decision to retire our beloved infrared gate entry system.

The Board of Directors accepted a bid from Bartlett Brothers for $5,480 to replace the old red infrared reader with a more modern RFID reader for entry into Evergreen. The additional costs associated with Bartlett will include an annual fee of $180. This annual charge of $180 is for the PDK controller. The annual cost includes cloud storage and access, as well as automatic software updates. Here is how it will all work:

Each resident will need to complete a new registration form and purchase a new barcode.
DJ will handle all registration forms and barcode installation. DJ will be working Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4 pm. Please do not drop off your registration form.
All payments must be by check payable to Evergreen POA. Cash or a credit card will not be accepted.
Payments will be collected by Coastal Property Management and processed accordingly.
Property owners and immediate family, the new cost will be $20 per vehicle.
Renters and Golf Course members who purchase a new barcode will pay $50, plus an annual renewal fee.
As we transition to the new system, the current system will remain active only until April 30, 2026. Starting May 1^st, any active barcodes associated with the infrared system will be deactivated, and owners will need to use the visitor’s entrance to enter the community.

Golf Carts

Golf Carts in Evergreen:

Under Article VIII, Section 5 of the Covenants, Conditions, and Restrictions of Evergreen, Golf Carts shall not be operated on the Common Areas by any unlicensed person or any person under the age of sixteen (16).

Under Article I Section 5 “Common Area” shall mean all the real property and improvements owned by the Association for the common use and the enjoyment of the Owners. The Common Area to be owned by the Association shall be such areas as shown on the Plats designated as Common Area.

After Hours Use of the Golf Course

Crane Watch Golf Course:

Please note that the golf course and the open land adjacent to Crane Watch are private property. Any unauthorized use of the grounds is trespassing and prohibited.

Lastly, as per our Bylaws and Covenants under Article 2 Section 2 subsection F. An Easement of 40ft. is hereby expressively reserved over the rear of all lots abutting fairways in the golf course for the use of the golf course. This easement is indicated as the Drainage, Safety, and Buffer Easement. Residents can read the current bylaws here.

C-23 Canal Easement

C-23 Canal Easement:

We would like to remind all residents that the easement along the C-23 Canal is not property owned or governed by the Evergreen Community and its Board of Directors. Therefore, neither the Board nor Coastal Property Management has the authority to issue violations related to its use.

The South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) has received a high volume of calls regarding activity on the canal easement. To clarify, any concerns or reports of unauthorized or unsafe activity—such as ATV use—should be directed to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office, which has the proper jurisdiction. Residents are kindly asked not to contact SFWMD directly regarding these matters.

Appropriate use of the easement includes pedestrian walking, bicycling, e-bikes, or horseback. Golf carts are prohibited on C-23 Canal Property easement as well.
